Kareena Kapoor voted India’s most beautiful woman by People magazine


Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor who features on the cover of the magazine credits her beauty to her fitness regime and her diet. Recently she was voted for India’s most beautiful woman by ‘People Magazine’. The issue that takes readers through her growing up years also touches on questions like “When does she feel the most beautiful”. This Czarina of the Bollywood Industry Kareena believes that “you are what you eat”. Recently, she has also won the ‘Quick Heal NDTV Tech Life Award’ for Best Celebrity Endorser.

She also revealed about her stable relationship and career that have brought her peace of mind which in turn shows on her face. But while asking about her upcoming projects, she added that I have to do lot of the things for me. There are large numbers of brands in her kitty. At presently, I’m shooting for ‘Golmaal 3’, ‘Ra 1’, ‘Agent Vinod and Stepmom’.

Juhi Chawla plays a Kashmiri Pandit much inspired by Sanjay Suri’s mother in Onir's I A.M


Onir’s “I A.M “-is a tale of 4 stories woven together taking audiences through issues and dilemmas that bruise modern Indian society.


One of the stories –“I A.M Megha” starring the beautiful Juhi Chawla sees her play the role of a Kashmiri Pandit widow based on the life of actor Sanjay Suri’s mother. 


Reveals director Onir  “Juhi’s character is that of a Kashmiri Pandit. Her character is inspired from Sanjay and his mother’s life because they are refugees from Kashmir.”


The story revolving around the life of a refugee takes Juhi (Megha) back to Kashmir after 20 years to the house she lived in and many incidents from Urvashi Suri’s life have been incorporated into the film.


Confirms Sanjay Suri who is also a lead in the film “Yes, it is loosely based on my mother’s story but it is also about coming to terms with your past. Every person who has left Kashmir will identify with that. My mother revisited Kashmir after 17 years but she still didn’t visit our house in Srinagar where dad was killed”

Controversies never cease to leave Tere Bin Laden




Controversies never cease to leave Tere Bin Laden and the latest addition has humored the film’s team to no end.

Recently Walkwater the production house of the film Tere Bin Laden received an anonymous letter threatening them with dire consequences if they decided to release the film.

Sources reveal that the letter that was addressed to the Walkwater office in the suburbs by a misinformed person stated that they shouldn’t release the film since it was in support of Osama and terrorism.

However the production house remains unfazed by the letter. 

“The person who addressed the letter to us has got the theme of the film Tere Bin Laden all wrong. It doesn’t deal with terrorism least of all support it. It’s a light comedy” clarifies a production source.

It was recently also reported that director Abhishek Sharma received several missed calls from Pakistan after rumors were afloat that the director met with Osama’s son to research aspects of his life.

Walkwater and Abhishek Sharma’s Tere Bin Laden is a tongue-in-cheek comedy about an ambitious young news reporter from Pakistan played by Ali Zafar who is desperate to migrate to the US in pursuit of the American dream. His repeated attempts to immigrate are shot down as his visa is always rejected. But when things couldn’t look worse he comes across an Osama Bin Laden look alike.

He has got the first Filmfare award ever given to a costume designer. He was there for the first shot of actresses making their debut, like Karisma Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Preity Zinta, etc. He was a superstar after Rangeela for making Urmila Matondkar look like a perfect fantasy. He defines creativity as, 'Nothing intellectual'. He will make you look different even in the basic blue denims and a white shirt because he is Manish Malhotra, a self-made man with a discerning eye who knows exactly how something should look, and won't suffer fools who look otherwise. Manish is a clothing guru, a subdued personality, never flinching when it comes to speaking his mind even when the culture would not have found it appropriate. Ajay's look in Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai inspired by Amitabh Bachchan's in Deewar




Balaji and Milan Luthria’s Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai promises to be a super-entertaining rewind to the era of romance, smuggling, cabaret and the mafia.


The film set in the 1970’s sees lead actor Ajay Devgn who plays a character much inspired by the infamous Haji Mastan don a purely  white ensemble throughout the film inspiration of which came from Amitabh Bachchan ‘s iconic look in Deewar.


Confirms director Milan LuthriaI happened to see Deewaar and loved Amitji’s all-white look when he goes for his father’s funeral in the film. I realized that the look would work for Ajay as he looks good in white. Ajay wears white throughout the film. It gives him a different identity.”


The team had to go through a grueling 37 costume changes that reflected the classic style of the 1970’s before settling on the “all white” look for Ajay.


Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai releasing 30th July 2010 follows the rise of Sultan(Ajay Devgn), and the conflict, when his protégé Shoaib(Emraan Hashmi), challenges his supremacy, and usurps power to rule the murky underbelly of Mumbai.

Kangana Ranaut reinvents herself for Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai




Beautiful, enigmatic and a powerhouse performer -Kangana Ranaut will soon be seen in Balaji and Milan Luthria’s Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai.


The film set in the 70’s is a super-entertaining rewind to the era of romance, smuggling, cabaret and the mafia .A time when women had a liberated air to them ,were fearless and bold.


And if anyone could carry the part of Ajay Devgn’s love interest in the film –the bold and bohemian Bollywood diva called Rehana it was Kangana Ranaut.


Says director Milan Luthria “Kangana lends herself because she has a great body which does not look vulgar and her face is chameleon-like -- she can change into different looks everyday.There is a lot of her in her character Rehana”


Kangana who worked hard on her look in the film studied the fads and trends rampant in the 70’s not just in Bollywood but even in the West.


Adds a production source “Kangana’s costumes were designed by Manoshi Nath and Rushi Sharma.She has done a lot of research on her role in the film and even went on to sketch out a preferred hairdo’s accessories costumes and the works for her look in the film”
